'No,' said the child. 'What is it?'

Beauty in Unexpected Places

  1. You must have been stirring that tomato soup very quickly to get that many bubbles! It's a wonder it stayed in the bowl.

  2. Cute comment GB. You are very observant. Actually, it was the soya milk I had to give a good shake-up before pouring. See how the bubbles are only in the white?

  3. It hadn't occurred to me that froth could be anything other than white. I'm going to have to do some experimenting. Do you think it will work with the fresh orange juice or cranberry juice in my fridge? No. Making spicy parsnip soup at the moment (six for dinner tomorrow) so I'll try that. I love these little projects your blog sets what passes for my mind.

I assume, by the way, that the soya milk was not tomato! What flavour was it?

Last WV was 'evenso' This one is 'clowdy' - very appropriate here at the moment

  4. Slightly reminisent of the big orange storm clouds on Jupiter - Jupiter in a Bowl - now thats the sort of soup to get your your tummy saying thankyou in Winter.

  5. I thought it was tomato soup too. Looking at it one way, I can see a toucan (sort of), but looking at it another way, I see an elephant staring at me. If it's not an elephant, it's the Snuffleupagus from Sesame Street.

  6. Yum GB - spicy parsips. That sounds nice.
Protein of any sort with fruit juice runs the risk of curdling.
No flavour soya milk. Just milky flavour. I use it in place of cow's milk as I am lactose intolerant.

Oh I like that image Alden. Although I veer more to the Mars...

Ha! Snuffy! Our family's favourite! Unless it's Ernie. Or Grover. Or Kermit. Or Bert. Or, or.
Actually now I look, I see Smaug there. A long, thin, sinuous dragon. Must be time to revisit Hobbiton and do a 'The Hobbit' post...
