What rainbow are you?

I'm usually too busy to do these type of things but I found this one on GB's Eagleton blog* and it seemed like fun.

* I wonder if his travel plans, which are only a day or two away, will be disrupted by that pesky volcano.

  1. Well from what I've read so far your rainbow would seem to be pretty accurate.

I've managed to get back from Northland ok but Thursday will just have to be a 'wait and see' situation. Ah well. C'est la vie.

  2. I want to give you a present to go with your post - its the best song ever written about rainbows - I think everyone knows it, but it doesn't hurt to be reminded......

    Why are there so many
    Songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side
    Rainbow's are visions
    They're only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told and some chose to
    Believe it
But I know they're wrong wait and see

    Someday we'll find it
    The Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

    Who said that every wish
    Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
    Somebody thought of that
    And someone believed it
And look what it's done so far
    What's so amazing
    That keeps us star gazing
What so we think we might see

    Someday we'll find it
    That Rainbow Connection
The lovers the dreamers and me

    Have you been half asleep
    And have you heard voices
I've heard them calling my name
Are these the sweet sounds that called
    The young sailors
I think they're one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
There's something that I'm supposed to be

    Someday we'll find it
    The Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

  3. GB - ...or c'est le volcan, n'est pas?

Alden - Thank you. I could hear Kermit singing as I read. Did you know that it is one month short of the 10 years since Jim Henson died?

  4. Yes, I read that in the paper the other day.
This song will I guess always be associated with Kermits voice and none the less beautiful for being sung by a frog. I think the lyrics are great.

  5. I am not a rainbow. I am a human being.

  6. Yes, Robert. That is one of the many reasons I don't usually do these things. Have you heard of E-Prime?
